Rest in Peace Clarisse

The inciting incident in the story, to me personally is when I found out that Clarisse (my favorite character in the book) has died, ai could tell right away Montag was depressed, for once in his life, he had understood someone, he had known that she wasn't crazy, that she was brave to believe in everything, that the world now shuts out.

Bradbury, is giving certain attitudes to his characters, I've noticed it mainly with Mrs.Montag, she is quite annoying, to me a little "blonde" I could tell from the beginning she doesn't really love Montag, and I know for a fact Montag does not feel love for her, I think at a time he felt love for Clarisse, in a daughterly way, and when she passed, he passed with her. Now he is finally taking life by the balls and living in the way he wants to, by reading.

The Salamander

The signifigance of the salamander, is that salamanders, are known to relate to fire, and in this particular book, the emblem Montag wears is the salamander. I think more personally that the salamander is the flame, every time he burns a book.

Montag in a way can be a hero, the way that he panics at first is not. A shocking twist, anyone who would come home at night to see their wife passed out drugged on a bed would freak out, the fact of the matter is that he did save her, although she may never realize that what he is saying is to be true, it unsurprisingly is.
