Rage 3

Rage 3:

Kainzu pressed the marks on the hilts of Ragnarok, then fell unconscious. "Tea?" Ragnarok looked at his guest across from him. Kainzu opened his eyes to reveal he was in the room again. Ragnarok of course, wearing only a white T-shirt. "Of course." He replied. Ragnarok grabbed a tea cup, and poured the other a hot cup of tea, handing it over carefully. "Warning, it's hot." Kainzu nodded looking at him, before taking a sip. "You say you're naked because weapons don't wear clothes, but then why are you wearing a shirt." "It's indecent to be fully naked, I thought a young man like yourself would know some manners!" He replied. Kainzu giggled, then looked up to the man, examining him. He was a lot taller than Kainzu, he was bigger too. He had tanned skin, and short black hair, he wore his white shirt, and nothing else, luckily he could only see what was above the table. "You don't know anything about me.." Kainzu said in a hushed tone. "Pray, tell." The man smiled warmly, as Kainzu set down his tea cup. Then nodded.
------------Memory-1-Age-6-----------
"Archer! Archer!" Kainzu yelled, a big smile on his face as he ran up the snowy hillside, and to his small cottage. Kainzu yelled again to his brother, as he ran inside the warm, yet compact household. "Archer!! C'mon!!" He looked over at Archer, who was at the time 9 years of age, he was a human, unlike Kainzu. Kainzu's mother had taken Archer in when he was 6, his parents had died from a dravainian attack, which was common in Coerthas, the icy mountain range of Eorzea. She was not home at the time, she had gone into town earlier to get any fresh supplies she could afford. The Halone family, was small, and of the lowest class, Kainzu's father had left him and his mother a year after he was born, and he was never to be seen again. "Yes Kainzu?" Archer stood up from his chair, then walked over to his younger sibling. "There's fresh snow outside! We should go build a snow fort!!" "Alright alright, let me grab my coat." He replied grabbing his coat off the hook, then putting it on. Kainzu opened the door and the two ran outside.

"You and your brother had a strong connection I see." "We did.. Mother died that day, a dravainian scouting team launched an attack at the markets, they were fended off, but she perished." "I am sorry for your loss." He replied. "Archer enrolled, three years later to the Paladins training academy, then, he was shipped off to gods know where. I was alone."
------------Memory-2-Age-9-----------
"Shut it ya lil shite!" A man kicked the child, who was bound up, and in the back of a covered carriage. "P-please let me go!" Kainzu shouted at the man. "Capn' wouldn't like that' 'ery much" "Knock the kid out, don't want to draw any attention." The man grabbed a plank of wood, and hit Kainzu over the head, knocking him unconscious. When he awoke, he was in a cell, in what looked to be a cavern, it reeked of sea water, and alcohol. A woman quickly walked over, she looked to also be a prisoner, she had on a maidens dress, but the skirt was torn, as well as stained. "Are you alright dear?" She asked lifting up his head, a bit, as she sat next to him. "I.. I'm fine.." He muttered, his voice shaking. "Well, I guess I should introduce myself." She said with a soft smile. "I'm Rose."  "H-hi... I-I'm Kainzu." "Poor thing, you're probably wondering where you are.." He nodded in reply. "Well, you're in La Noscea, that I know for sure, I've heard from the cell guards before that this is the famous Satasha Seagrot." "La... Noscea.." "This must be a lot for you to take in.. Well you and I, and a few others here were kidnapped, stolen from our homes and families, to serve as slaves for these dammed pirates, every once and awhile, when the captain comes back from a month long journey, he chooses one out of the women and children, to take aboard his ship. Heaven knows what he does to them." She paused. "Sadly, he comes tomorrow. We're ripe for the picking." He looked up to the woman. "Don't worry, he won't pick us, he usually picks Miqo'te woman.." He slowly stood up, as she assisted him. "Are you hungry? Or thirsty? I saved some of my allowed food day in case you woke, luckily I did." She smiled again. "I am a little hungry." He replied quietly. "She looked around, checking to see if a guard was near, then took out a bread roll from a pocket on her skirt. "I know it's not much, but try to make it last." She gave a warm, comforting smile, then handed it to him. "T-thank you." He said, taking it in his hands, and taking a small bite. It tasted fresh, he ate it slowly, only to stall his hunger not knowing when the next meal would arrive. "Now then, let's get you to bed, you've had quite a day.." Rose carefully picked Kainzu up, and carried him over to a large mattress, held up by old, chipped up wood, with a few blankets on top, and three pillows. "Your lucky they put you in a cell with me, some of the other women here aren't as kind." She laid him down, the propped his head up with a pillow. "W-why are you being so nice to me.." He asked looking into the kind woman's eyes. She paused for a minute, then laid next to him, and covering the two with a blanket. "Because you remind me of my son, before he.. Never mind that, sleep well, ok?" She cheerfully smiled. "A-alright." He replied, closing his eyes, and drifting off into a deep slumber.

"The next day, Rose was chosen, I though, was safe for a number of years, until when I turned 11, I was chosen." Ragnarok picked up his tea cup, and held it firmly in his hands. "Do go on." He looked up to Kainzu. "I spent two years aboard the ship, where I was... Touched... And beaten, he would usually make me wear something made of very thin cloth, then have his way with me.." A tear fell from Kainzu's eye, as he set his tea cup down.
------------Memory-4-Age-13----------
"Yer gettin' 'etter time lad" the Captain said, as he rose from the bed, then stood next to it. "T-thank you, sir." Kainzu mumbled, looking a the burly man, his eyes slowly filling with tears. "Heh heh." He laughed, grabbing a pair of pants on the floor then sliding them on. "Don't look to sad, some say it's an honor to be with me!" Kainzu looked down at the blankets, trying not to look up. "Anyhow, I must be on my way, them lazy bags of sand ain't gunna yell at themselves." He snickered putting a lightly stained overcoat on, he straightened it out, then left the room. Kainzu quickly got up, and put on a pair of underwear. He nearly ran to a wardrobe across the room, opening it quickly, and grabbing out a small butter knife, that was hidden in one of his silk robes, that he had stolen the other night at dinner. He sharpened it a bit, then put on the robe, and hid the blade in his sleeve. A few hours passed, as Kainzu sat waiting in a chair, this was a normal everyday occurrence. The ship moved on, ever so often he felt the massive ship turn, and change its direction. The sun began to set, and the doors to the Captains Quarters swung open. Kainzu waited on the bed, only wearing the same silk robe, the knife hidden behind his arm. The man walked in, standing at the foot of the bed as the doors slammed shut. The tall, fat man slowly began undressing. "H-hello Captain." Kainzu spoke, laying back a little on the bed. "Shaddup" he muttered, dropping his pants, then underwear, then sluggishly taking his shirt off. The big, hairy man stood naked before Kainzu, he crawled onto the bed, nearing the innocent child. "S-so soon?" Kainzu mumbled lightly to the Captain. He began to rub Kainzu's bare legs, ever nearing his thighs. He began to grow fearful, even though this had happened countless times throughout the past two years. The man crawled directly on top of the innocent child, Kainzu began to move his right arm, slowly, in attempt to not be detected. He rose his left hand and put it on the man's cheek, then with his right hand, moving the knife from his sleeve, and into his palm. There was a moment of silence, as Kainzu quickly shoved the knife into the burly mans throat, and kicked him off of himself, he quickly got up, and took off the now bloodstained robe, and rummaged through the Captains closet, grabbing out a pair of black soldier boots, shorts, and a plain doublet vest. The man lay dead upon the bed, staining the blankets a dark red. He put the clothes on, and began to look for a weapon, if he were to escape, he would have to be prepared. He looked around, finding two daggers, a full quiver, and a longbow, he strapped both the quiver, and longbow on his back, and latched the daggers to his belt. He smiled in the mirror, knowing his hard work was coming to an end. He snuck out of the room, a cool ocean breeze blew past him, he unsheathed his bow, and hand an arrow ready, step by step, he snuck, there was a man ahead, a crew member, Kainzu calmly aimed. He crouched down, lining the arrow up with the mans head. Then, released the arrow, striking the man through the skull. He fell forward into the ocean below. Kainzu looked around, then continued forward. He looked over the railing of the large ship, looking towards the Azure Tower, a light house made of blue crystals, placed atop each other, to emit a large sea blue glow. He looked past it, to see the sea faring town of Limsa Lominsa, he knew he had limited time to escape, and if he was to get there, he had to be fast. The boat swayed gently, as he looked on towards Limsa Lominsa. Then he saw a flash. He looked closer, and then another flash, and another, coming from one balcony in the great city. He watched as more flashes occurred, then, he came to the realization that it wasn't just a drunken man playing with a shiny object, but morse code. He began to spell out, and recreate the message. "Hello? Is anyone out there?" It read. He took his blade, and used the light of the Azure Tower, and messaged back "Yes! Help, kidnapped by men, need help" he waited for a response, which he got momentarily "I am on my way with the guards, stay calm." He smiled, and sat at the foot of the railing, looking onwards to the docks, where he could faintly see the city's guard, known as Yellow Jackets, board a small fishing skipper. Momentarily the boat arrived, and he noticed someone on the small boat, a man in armor, a shield on his back, a odd sword to his side. The man looked up, as Kainzu looked down. "Kainzu?" The man whispered. Kainzu's eyes grew full of tears as he looked at the man, realizing that it was his brother. "A-archer!!" He almost yelled, but covered his mouth. Suddenly, someone awoke, from the ground beneath him in the crews quarters. "Eh, what was that?" "I dunno, lets go check it out!" Followed  by footsteps. "Kainzu, throw a rope, hurry!" Archer whispered, as Kainzu nodded throwing a tied rope down to the skipper, he quickly climbed up, followed by two of the guards. Kainzu sheathed his daggers and hugged Archer tightly. "A-archer..! They... They did terrible.. Unspeakable things to me...!" He sobbed into his older brothers side. Archer had grown much taller, and stronger sense they last saw each other, but had the same black hair, and same warm smile. "It's ok, you're safe now, how about, we make them pay?" He looked down to Kainzu as the hatch swung open. Kainzu nodded, taking out his two daggers. "Hey! What's the meaning of-" the man looked to the four. "Intruders! Wake up you lazy slugs!" Suddenly, more voices were heard, as all the men had awaken. "Be ready!" Archer spoke. Kainzu nodded, a dagger in both hands, a bow to his back. "Archer, I'll climb up the mast, and shoot them one by one, cover me!" He whispered to his older brother. "Got it, forward!" He shouted, as he and the yellow jackets charged the group. Kainzu looked to the ladder, and began to climb the mast, looking down occasionally to make sure Archer was ok. When he reached high enough ground, he tied a knot to his belt, in case he were to fall. He took aim at the men below. "Archer! I'm in position!" He yelled, then took an arrow in his hand, aiming for one of the dirty rats. He held his aim firm, then released the arrow. It fired, and stuck the man in the head. Archer looked up, smiled, then went back to attacking, and fending off the Pirates. He aimed again, this time at a bigger man, who began to charge Archer, an axe in hand, Archer held his shield with both hands, ready to brace for the attack. Kainzu aimed, then released the arrow, shooting the giant in the chest. The beast of a man fell to his back, dead. "Damn Kainzu! Your a pretty good shot!" He yelled, as Kainzu aimed again. Reinforcements appeared, Yellowjackets boarded the ship, the Pirates all dropped there weapons, and surrendered.
----------Ragnarok-Database----------
"Ooh a tale of Pirates, love- well hate, and bloody battles." Ragnarok commented. "After that, everything was calm, the Yellowjackets stormed Sastasha, and freed all the captives, and as for Archer and I, we lived in Limsa for a few years. He made me go to school, taught me how to use daggers "properly" then after I learned enough, signed me up for the adventurers guild, and rogues guild. There's one thing I won't forget though. One day....."
------------Memory-5-Age-15----------
"Hey Archer, when did you get that blade?" Kainzu asked looking at the blade hitched to his brothers belt. "That's a secret, let's just say, he wasn't easy to acquire." "It's a he?" "It's a long complicated story." Kainzu walked with his brother down the streets of Limsa, when they came across a shop. "Hats for sell! Get your hats here! Blue hats! Black hats! Lots and lots of hats! And, if you catch the Rare Rainbow Anchovy, I'll give away a hat of your choice for free!" Kainzu looked over to the merchant, then looked up to Archer. "Fine, we can try it." He smiled as Kainzu ran over to the stall. "So all we have to do is catch a fish right?" He asked. "That's correct." The man replied. "Alright then! Consider that hat mine!" Kainzu excitedly pointed to a black fedora. Then ran down the cobbled streets. Archer laughed, then followed shortly after. Kainzu reached his destination almost momentarily, the fisher's guild. "I need a fishing rod and some bait!" He yelled running into the guild. A Lalafellen woman walked up to him, she looked up to Kainzu with a smile on her face. "Here to give fishing a go?" She asked, a fishing rod in hand, a tackle box in the other, then handed it up to Kainzu. Kainzu knelt down, and took both the objects in his hands. She wore a small sun hat, with a flower on its side, as well as a plain pink shirt, culottes, and work boots. "Good luck to ya!" She smiled, as Kainzu waved and ran towards a dock. He cast his line, taking a seat at the end of the pier. "Having fun?" Archer smiled, taking a seat next to Kainzu. "I will catch this fish!" He replied, as he waited patiently. Archer looked out to the silent bay, a small skipper passing by every once in a while. "I'll go grab us some snacks, I'll be right back." Archer stood up, then walked back down the dock. "Alright! Be safe!" Kainzu smiled, and waved behind him. a half an hour passed, and Archer returned to the docks, where he saw Kainzu with a small box next to him. "Whatcha got there." Archer asked, referring to the closed crate. "A box of ice, with a few fish in it." Archer knelt down, and lifted the lid of the crate, to reveal a pile of Rainbow Anchovies. "K-Kainzu! You realize that's enough to get you more than one hat!!" "I know, I just really enjoy fishing! Mind going to get my hat for me?" "No, you're going to retrieve it yourself, you have well earned it." "Fineee." He reeled in his line, and retracted his fishing pole to a small pipe, latching it to his back, while holding the tackle box in his right hand. "Here I'll get the crate." Archer said as he lifted the heavy box off the ground. The two walked back to the market place, Kainzu, hummed all the while, a song he hand heard from the pier. When the two reached the shop, the man traded the hat for the fish, his eyes practically lit up with dollar signs. Kainzu put his hat on, making sure his ears fit threw the holes near the back. "How do I look?" He asked looking to Archer, a smile on his face. "Very classy!"
